Professor Mark, now a black belt is Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, is a former British and European Champion. He has been coming to MJH Sports Massage since its inception. Originally visiting due to neck injury suffered in training, Mark is now a regular, receiving weekly massages to help keep his body it tip-top condition from brutal training regime, that can see him training 5-6 times a week, for 2- 3 hours at a time.

Mark has been trained by professors Raphael Dos Santos and Tim Lukes at the Gracie Barra Gym (Cornwall), and now runs Kernow BJJ.

 

 

Josh Matavesi

Having grown up in the duchy, professional rugby player Josh made his international debut for Fiji back in November 2009, and has represented the Exeter Chiefs, Racing Metro, Worcester Warrior and Ospreys at club level.

Chris Pugh

After starting a career in bodybuilding, Chris began doing some power lifting in the off-season to fill the gap. However, he found a natural talent, and strength for bodybuilding, and began breaking various records. In 2016 he set the Under 90kg Junior British records in bench and total weight, and followed that up in 2017 setting all-time Junior British squat and total records. In 2018 Chris became Under 90kg British Champion and again in 2019 in both the Under 90kg and Under 82.5kg categories, as well as claiming the Under 90kg World title, setting further World records for squat, total and bench. He is 1 of only 2 lifters in the UK to amass a total of 10x their bodyweight, and squat 4x their bodyweight. Chris is set to compete at the US Kern Open in 2020, which is the biggest power lifting platform in the world. Chris currently runs Revolution Fitness which is based in St Ives, and offers personal training services.

 

Serene Husseini

serene-husseini-141068076084kngSerene is a UKBFF Bodyfitness competitor. Drawing on her own experience and knowledge, she aims to help others achieve their goals from simple weight loss and body tightening to those looking to delve into the competitive field. In 2013 Serene won the UKBFF Bodyfitness Championship for the East of England, going on to finish 4th at the British Championships. Motu Maatu’u

7011347The Samoan International hooker, currently ply’s his trade for Premiership side Gloucester, after making the move from Super rugby side the Hurricanes in 2016, after claiming the Super Rugby title in his final season.

Whilst down in Cornwall during the off-season, he called upon the services of MJH Sports Massage, and was extremely happy with the results.

 

 

 

Josh Gotts

Screen-Shot-2016-08-03-at-14.16.57Professional Enduro 2 Rider, Josh, has been coming to MJH Sports Massage for over a year now. Ever since he was struggling with a forearm injury prior to the British Championships. He now has maintenance massage and cupping therapy every 2 weeks, making sure his body can handle long training days which could see him riding for over 8 hours.

He currently rides for TM Racing UK, and competes in both the British and World Championships.
